What a beautiful sound a tiny shell holdsThe sound of the sea and its melody.To a tiny child the story is toldof where its been and its euphony.It's sailed the sea in the years of the pastcapturing the sound in its memory.Seeing all in the ocean vastall tunes are captured in harmony.Memorizing the song of a siren,her voice ringing through.Never will she be forgotteneach note will flow on simple and true.Passing through the land of the Minnesotathe rain dance sets the beat.Meeting a traveler of the Lakotaadds joy with Kokapelli's flute.As time goes by the shell hits shoreand settles in the sand,songs to be captured no morebut what a treasure in the child's hands. -written by Skye of
