i'm back people! (:
thank God for angkor of faith 2 and may there be another trip like this again.
it was awesome and there were so many things that happened, i can't really post them all. (i can't remember all anyway)
i'll try though.

Day 1
woke up at 3am in the morning and felt really sick. okok, i didn't really "wake up" cos i didn't sleep, just laid on the bed from 9 to 3. i was supposed to leave my house at 4am but in the end dragged all the way till 5 and was almost late. at the airport, things were rather rushed and i didn't felt hungry, so no breakfast. i shall skip the airport thingies cos its nothing special. ~.~
on the flight to cambodia i was seated beside kong jo and uncle paul, they were so interesting especially kong jo. x)

reached siem reap airport at around 11.15am. well...when we got off my first impression was that it wasn't that warm. but y'know, it was 11 in the morning so... ~.~ but it got warmer in the afternoon of course. like maybe, 40 degrees? :x

our guesthouse was really cute with a small balcony for us. our room (cailin was my roommate) however consists of an aircon which was black, small, dusty and old. LOL. and therefore it wasn't really effective in keeping the room cool. the tap water smelt like rust, and sometimes it got so bad that you'd feel like you're bathing in blood. =S we also had to brush our teeth using the bottled water. initially i also washed my face with mineral water because the others recommanded me to do so, but after the first 2 days i got real lazy and just used tap water. -.-"

we had some international group activities after our lunch and worship, my group members consisted of jason, robert and p nueng from Thailand, ryan and jeremy from singapore, michi from japan and harvind from malaysia. =3 i love my international group, the sharings that we had were wonderful and encouraging. (:
p nueng you're so cute!! xD love you lots!

ガク、誕生日おめでとう!

PS, kong jo now i really think that on the last night you were drunk. hahaha so many repeating sentences in my note!

Day 2 to - end of mission trip
OH MY GOSH I'M TOO LAZY TO BLOG ABOUT THE WHOLE OF 8 DAYS. therefore i'm just gonna summarize everything. -_-

the second day we went to angkor wat. (: it was really really hot but it was really fun. we climbed the temple and all without problems, but coming down was another issue. -.- the steps were really steep so coming down was scary. hahaha but we made it anyway, and it was worth it cos i talked to many people that i haven't before. people like p tum, bay, john etc. oh my goodness p tum. we all climbed down the steps but he jumped. i mean it wasn't very high but still it wasn't a normal jumpable height and normal people wouldn't jump. i'm not saying you're abnormal p tum. :x it was so cool you did it. (: 555+

for lunch we had um...bread with uh..pork? i seriously don't know what it was, but at first i thought it was luncheon meat. however after i gave it my first bite, i almost threw up. luckily the bite wasn't a very big one. -_- it somehow tasted like pig liver. my goodness. =S but hey i was initially hungry, but after tasting it i wasn't hungry anymore, so it was filling! :D something good right? and i think many people liked it, for example, gaku. he said that it was good, but maybe it wasn't true? i dont know. -.- anyway he ate mine, because he didnt like wasting food and it was also part of the japanese culture not to waste food. i felt so bad...like he had to eat it and all. =/
really sorry!

on the 3rd day we had to make lunch(laksa and almond longan) for the kids and the others, and keith was the main chef. we had to get chickens and shred them, buy tons of limes to squeeze for lime juice(it was excellent) and had to get bowls and all those things. really tiring, really hot, but extremely fun. (: althought i didn't have the chance to taste the laksa(i was sick), everyone said it was really good so we were all real happy. :D

usually during free time we would go to blue pumpkin for a drink adnd maybe some food. blue pumpkin is like, a temporery heaven(as quoted from grace) with aircon and REALLY AMAZING SOFA. many people went there to sleep, and there were usually the ang mos doing their work. i was usually with daniel, lin shan, p nueng and p tan and we'd talk about ourselves and get to know each other better. daniel likes maroon 5! gosh and he went to the concert in singapore by himself. :x thats really sad daniel, like going to a concert yourself. -_- that's something you'll never see me do in my entire life. lol.

okok now i don't feel like blogging about the things we did anymore. -_- so lazy my gosh. i love the street kids, some of them really touched my heart. even when they do not know you, they'll just come over and hold your hand or give you a hug. they looked so happy when we were playing with them. it's like you can really feel that they are desperate for attention and physical contact with others. at angkor wat, many children were trying to sell us things, but i think we're not supposed to buy from them, because if you buy one then it's unfair to the other children. they were following us around and kept on repeating "2 for 1 dollar! 2 for 1 dollar!" and i had to ignore them. seriously, it was heartbreaking. i pray that God will take care of them.

on the last night before we had to return, we had a little "drink party" in keith's room. 555+ i guess that was the only really fun time we had after the thai people left. without them, the guesthouse felt really empty and kinda lifeless. when we went out, the feeling was like, "where do you wanna go? they are not here." and totally like "-_-". 555+
oh man...i really miss you guys right now. =(
like i could say it a million times.

thats all the pictures i have. -.- ok not all but the rest are all cats and you guys wouldn't want me to spam my own blog with pictures of cats right? Although they are all so adorable and i wish to share them with you.

Really, i have no words to describe how amazing the trip was, but one thing's for sure - this trip has taught me a lot, far more than any classes at church can teach. During worship, the singing was just so awesome, every session touched my heart and i almost cried. the songs clinged to my heart all the time and i just had the urge to sing them out. truly, it was amazing, something that i've never experienced before despite being a child of God for such a long time.
i think my faith in God has grown greatly through this trip and i really feel blessed to be able to be part of it. i love and thank everyone that was also in this trip, especially p nueng, p tan, p tum, daniel, lin shan, michi and everybody from bedok COC. i simply can't imagine the trip without you guys. T.T

oh my gosh, that sounded like i've just won an award on mtv. 555+
well anyway, since i was new and all, i just wanted to thank everybody for being so warm and always being there for me.^^
kidtheung na!

Praise the Lord!
